The radiotherapy department at St Luke’s Cancer Centre, Guildford has reached a significant milestone for delivering cutting-edge treatments.

The team have just delivered the 1000th fraction of online adaptive radiotherapy using the Varian Ethos machine.
The state-of-the-art linac uses AI to generate patient contours and streamlines the workflow to allow a new plan to be generated for each daily patient the patients receive.

One of only a handful of machines across the UK, this is a significant milestone to have reached, and there are still more enhancements to be made for the patients in the pipeline.
A truly team accomplishment including Drs, radiographers and physicists.
