222 DICOM tags are “nulled”, including removal of manufacturers private tags. Based on the DICOM supplemented 142 annex A some tags cannot just be removed, for these instance obfuscating is necessary in order to preserve the integrity of the DICOM file. Detailed below are the different types of irreversible transformations carried out for each DICOM attributes.
