I graduated from the University of Surrey in 2015 with an MPhys in Physics with Satellite Technology. During my degree I did a 1 year research placement with the University of Massachusetts Lowell developing techniques for repairing and rejuvenating Hyper-Pure Germanium Detectors. From 2015-2019 I worked as PhD Doctoral student at CERN in Geneva at the ISOLDE rare isotope separator. My thesis investigated using beta-decay detected nuclear magnetic resonance to examine samples of DNA implanted into a variety of substrate materials. After my PhD I transitioned into Medical physics through the Scientist Training programme at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust which I finished in 2022. During my final year of training I transferred to the Royal Surrey and I have been working here ever since! Within the department I work as the instrumentation lead.
