Section: Radiotherapy Physics
BiographyDan completed a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Materials Engineering at the University of Birmingham and then went on to complete an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Surrey in 2014. Following this he gained a place on the Scientist Training Programme specialising in Radiotherapy Physics at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff and simultaneously completed an MSc in Clinical Science at Swansea University. He became a registered clinical scientist with the HCPC in 2018 and gained a position as a Physicist at Royal Surrey Hospital. His current projects at RSH include:
- Acceptance and commissioning of SunCheck, an in-vivo dosimetry software system to accurately monitor the radiation beam during treatment to improve dose delivery and patient outcomes.
