Max Chaitow

I am entering my final year on the Scientific Training Program, specialising in Clinical Scientific Computing. My academic background is in Physics (BSc, 2021, University of Susssex) and Medical Physics (MSc, 2023, University of Glasgow). I gained skills in Computing by contributing to ML optimisation of conductor geometries for transporting ultracold atoms and subsequently in modelling radiation for a real-time in-vivo plastic scintillation detector prototype. I first worked in the NHS at a Covid vaccination clinic before taking up a patient facing role at Bristol Eye Hospital, and then being fortunate to gain a place on the STP here at the Royal Surrey. I have been working on various Computing and Scientific work-based projects with SciCom while undertaking an MSc at the University of Liverpool, and I am aiming to fulfill the requirements to become a registered Healthcare Scientist.
