I completed my undergraduate study in Medical Radiological Technology at Mahatma Gandhi University, India in 2007, and worked as a Therapeutic radiographer in Amrita Institute of Medical sciences for a year and joined for a post graduate diploma in Medical Radioisotope Techniques in Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, India. My four-year bachelor's degree introduced me to general and radiation physics, fostering a lasting passion for medical physics. I conducted a project on "Electron Beam Dosimetry" in my final year. In my Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Radioisotope Techniques, I specialized in Nuclear Medicine, gaining expertise in Nuclear Medicine Physics, Instrumentation, and Clinical Nuclear Medicine, training on various imaging systems such as Rectilinear Scanner, Thyroid Uptake Probes, Gamma Camera, SPECT CT, and PET CT.

I spent 15 years (2009 to 2024) across three countries working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Moving to the UK and pursuing a career in medical physics was a dream for me, culminating in my role as a PET CT Technologist at Alliance Medical, Poole PET CT Centre. Here, I immersed myself in standard operating protocols, emphasizing compliance with IRM(E)R and IRR regulations. Actively participating in periodic maintenance alongside physicists, I gained valuable insights into the intricacies of PET/CT cameras.

In 2020, I have started in St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MRI) specializing in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. Alongside my clinical responsibilities, I train and supervise technologists, assist in portfolio applications for HCPC and RCT registrations, and passionately contribute to staff development. In 2024, I successfully got into STP (Scientist Training programme) in Nuclear Medicine Physics and got employed in Royal Surrey NHS FT to complete the training. Currently, I am in the final year of the STP training, hope to get qualified in September 2027.
