My early passion for medical physics led me to study at the University of Liverpool in 2020 to study a BSc in Physics with Medical Applications, knowing that I will apply to become a clinical scientist in the future. I wanted to study other areas similar to medical physics as well, I went to study an MSc in Biomedical Engineering with Cell and Tissue Engineering at Strathclyde University in 2023, allowing me to explore Scotland and enjoy the beautiful landscapes at the same time.

At the end of my studying in 2024, I did not feel ready to go into full-time employment and I wanted to enjoy a gap year so that I could travel, applying to the Scientific Training Programme (STP) at the same time. So I went back home to Wales, saving up money as a delivery driver at ASDA and once I had enough money, I travelled around South East Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) with some friends for 3 months. Around June 2025, I found out that my application to the STP was successful, leading me to move to Guildford in Surrey. I have been at the Royal Surrey County Hospital for just over a year now, training to become a clinical scientist specialising in Nuclear Medicine.
