I am an undergraduate student at the University of Portsmouth, studying MPhys Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology. During my third year of studies I completed a module in Medical Physics, allowing me to learn about the sector and discover my passion towards combining my love for Physics with patient care. I am currently completing a SEPnet Summer Placement within Nuclear Medicine at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, focusing on the dosimetry of a prostate cancer trial named Lu-177 PSMA. I then promptly enter a year long Industrial Placement as a Trainee Medical Physicist, staying in the Nuclear Medicine department. I will be experiencing and assisting in both routine and research work of the department, allowing me to build the foundations of my career in Medical Physics. After my placement I return to University for my fourth and final year of studies. I hope to return to the Medical Physics sector as a postgraduate and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
