{"id":1676,"date":"2023-05-29T07:23:04","date_gmt":"2023-05-29T07:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medphys.royalsurrey.nhs.uk\/department\/?p=1676"},"modified":"2023-05-29T07:23:39","modified_gmt":"2023-05-29T07:23:39","slug":"physics-research-presented-at-estro-2023-in-vienna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medphys.royalsurrey.nhs.uk\/department\/2023\/05\/29\/physics-research-presented-at-estro-2023-in-vienna\/","title":{"rendered":"Physics Research Presented at ESTRO 2023 in Vienna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/medphys.royalsurrey.nhs.uk\/department\/radiotherapy-physics\/\">radiotherapy physics<\/a> department was represented at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.estro.org\/\">European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology<\/a> (ESTRO) annual congresses held in Vienna in May 2023 by Gail Anastasi Distefano and Rachel Hollingdale. Gail showed a poster titled, \u2018Investigating the use of Microsoft KinectV2 to monitor a patient\u2019s breathing during Lung SBRT\u2019 and Rachel gave a short oral presentation on \u2018Benefits of Bespoke PTV Margins for Bladder Cancer using CBCT-guided online adaptive radiotherapy.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Department has many <a href=\"https:\/\/medphys.royalsurrey.nhs.uk\/department\/radiotherapy-physics\/research-in-radiotherapy\/\">research and development projects<\/a> running and this was an excellent opportunity to share the work we have been doing with the wider European radiotherapy community.
