BiographyDr Catharine Clark is a Consultant Clinical Scientist and holds a joint post as a Principal Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory and a Consultant Clinical Scientist for the Radiotherapy Trials Quality Assurance group (RTTQA). She is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) and chairs of the ESTRO physics committee.
Her research interests lie in dosimetric verification and she has led several national dosimetry audits, including for rotational IMRT, lung SABR and intra-cranial SRS. Each of these audits has involved collaboration with various groups from around the UK including the Radiotherapy Trials QA group, IPEM, the National Physical Laboratory and a wide range of hospitals. She has published extensively in this area.
Catharine is the current chair of the Global Quality Assurance of Radiation Therapy Clinical Trials Harmonisation group and sits on the Dosimetry and quality assurance working party of the European Particle Therapy Network. She also holds visiting senior lecturer positions at the University of Surrey and University College London.
